LES CASTELLANOS
Les Castellanos spent much of his younger years at the La Coma fields, where he showed great promise in the Visual/Spatial aptitude tests.  After his initial placement trials he was recruited to work in the design department in the southern states solar factories. It was during this time that Mr. Castellanos learned to paint under the guidance of infamous court artist Will Syx II.  “This is where I did the bulk of my training. I was able to go anywhere as an apprentice”  said Mr. Castellanos when asked about his portraits of the young mech warriors.

At an event sponsored by the Post American Museum of Western History, the artist explained that in order to paint the machines, “...You had to become One with the machines.” Because of the museum’s anti-AI stance, they decided not to allow his work to be displayed before the  grand opening on April 28, 3059. Many of his paintings of the Insectoid uprising were removed from the initial exhibit.

The censoring of the exhibition was seen by the public as the final desperate act of the retreating Muskonian administration. The public turmoil created an opportunity for Mr. Castellanos to upload his consciousness into the now defunct Prime-Matrix.

After seventy five years in the Prime-Matrix, Mr. Castellanos, along with a handful of persecuted individuals, were permitted to download into an early timeline. During one unfortunate time displacement event in 1887, Mr. Castellanos had to re-upload and change his name.

Mr. Castellanos is currently working as an artist and arts educator in Ulster Co.
He continues to draw inspiration from the fractured memories of his past.
